The Rashtriya Rifles or RR  is a branch of the Indian Army under the authority of the Indian Ministryof Defence. 
The RR is a counter– insurgency force made up of soldiers deputed from other parts of the Indian Army. 
The force is currently deployed in the state of Jammu&Kashmir. 

The RR units come under four "Counter Insurgency Force" (CIF) HQs. Each CIF is responsible for an area of the kashmir Valley and Jammu Division. 
Victor Force and Kilo Force come under the operational control of 15 Corps. Delta Force and Romeo Force come under the operational control of the 16 Corps. 
They are a crack force is specifically trained and equipped with the best of weapons and vehicles available to fight insurgency in Jammu and Kashmir at high altitudes.
I think above mentioned points make a RR battalion deadly and detterance for subversive forces in valley. 

Victor Force is currently active in Shopian, Anantnag, Pulwana, Kulgam, and Budgam area.Victor Force is a constituent of the largest Counter Insurgency Force in the world—The Rashtriya Rifles, active in some of the most infiltration wracked regions of Jammu and Kashmir.the Victor Force is officially called CIF-V, and is commanded by a Major General of the Indian Army. It is one of the more celebrated forces of the Rashtriya Rifles among othersCrest
The RR crest consists of the Ashoka Chakra and two crossed rifles with fixed bayonets. Beneath, in a banner, is emblazoned the RR's motto: "Dridhta aur virta".

Role- The key role of Rashtriya Rifles is to handle counter insurgency situations, and giving the situation of Kashmir, Rashtriya Rifles has been employed there.
Their main objective is to counter any sort of terrorist activity, prevent any from happening and at the same time preventing infiltration of terrorists from PoK.
Composition- Rashtriya Rifles being a unique force has a mixed composition. It composes of members from the Indian Army, Indian Air Force, Indian Navy, and Para military Forces like the CRPF. Most of the personnel recruited from the Indian Airforce and Indian Navy are the Garuds and MARCOS, that is the respective Special Forces operatives of the two organisations
Outcome- The Rashtriya Rifles have proved to be a major force in preventing attacks throughout Jammu and Kashmir. They are widely feared among terrorists. Their dedication, effort and service has helped us stabilize the situation in Kashmir to a large extent. They have played their role to the greatest extent possible.

The  HAL Tejas  is an  Indian  single-engine,  fourth-generation ,  multirole   light fighter  designed by the  Aeronautical Development Agency  (ADA) in collaboration with Aircraft Research and Design Centre (ARDC)  of  Hindustan Aeronautics Limited  (HAL) for the  Indian Air Force  and  Indian Navy . It came from the Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) programme, which began in the 1980s to replace India's ageing  MiG-21  fighters. In 2003, the LCA was officially named "Tejas". Tejas has a tail-less compound   delta-wing   configuration with a single   vertical stabilizer .
